TLI31216: Certificate III in Driving Operations

This qualification is designed for driving operation job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry.

This program is offered to those who are currently licensed and operating a vehicle. To be awarded this qualification, you will need to attain a total of 18 units of competency.

6 Core Units for this qualification:

  • TLID1001      Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • TLIE1005      Carry out basic workplace calculations
  • TLIF1001      Follow occupational health and safety procedures
  • TLIF2010      Apply fatigue management strategies
  • TLIH2001      Interpret road maps and navigate pre-determined routes
  • TLIL1001      Complete workplace orientation/induction procedures

Industry Specific Unit:

  • TLIC3003      Drive medium rigid vehicle

Plus 11 Elective units:

  • TLIA1001      Secure cargo
  • TLIB2004      Carry out vehicle inspection
  • TLID2004      Load and unload goods/cargo
  • TLIE2008      Process workplace documentation
  • TLIA3015      Complete receival/despatch operations
  • TLIJ3002       Apply quality systems
  • TLIE1003      Participate in basic workplace communication
  • TLII1002        Apply customer service skills
  • TLIL4005       Apply conflict/grievance resolution strategies

Certificate 3 Guarantee

Under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program, which is a funded initiative by the Queensland Government and the Department of Education and Training, you can achieve a Certificate III level Nationally Recognised qualification at a subsidised price.

Student Co-contribution Fees

This qualification is offered at a subsidised rate for those who meet the eligibility criteria to participate under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program. The following fees apply:

  • Concessional (Of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent, hold a current concession card such as a Health Care Card)
  • $119 (this equates to $6.61 per unit of competency)
  • Non-Concessional
  • $239 (this equates to $13.28 per unit of competency)
